The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was established in November 1989 by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India.

NIOS plays a great part in enabling students to continue their education without disruption. We like to train and encourage children to be confident, independent and shine as outstanding citizens of this society. To know more about NIOS, click here.

We are one of the coaching centers for NIOS. This Readiness Program includes:

  • Level A - equivalent to class I to III

  • Level B - equivalent to class IV – V

  • Level C - equivalent to class VI to VIII

Completion of 8th std would lead to a secondary course (equivalent to 10th std). Children who will benefit from the above program will be:

  • Slow Learners

  • Dyslexic

  • Autism

  • School Dropouts

  • ADHD

  • Cerebral palsy

  • Down Syndrome

  • Multiple Disability

Vocational Education is the training in skills & teaching of knowledge related to a specific trade occupation or vocation in which the student wishes to participate.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Mrs. Thulasi Devi Viswanathan conducted classes in the Art, Craft & Tailoring field over the past 15 years at SNS. With her rich experience in Tailoring and Fashion Designing, she has been running an institute, M/s. Thulasi Arts & Crafts, at Mandaveli & Perungudi in Chennai. She facilitates vocational training for Special Needs kids & NIOS children . This gives them practical knowledge & improves their life skills.
